Installation on Windows Using Pip Directly to Filesystem

Before you install Programy on Ubuntu you need to check that you have the pre-requisites installed, named Python 3.x and Pip. Installation instructions for Windows can be found in Windows Prerequisites

Installation via Pip

First lets create a directory to run our bot in

mkdir mybots
cd mybots

Now lets install programy

pip install --no-cache-dir programy

Installation will now start and you’ll see something like the following

Eventually all the packages used by programy will download and you’ll see the installer running the necessary configuration scripts. You should see something similar to the following

Programy is now downloaded and installed. A quick check is if the admin tool is up and running

Now lets install additional components, in this instance only textblob are required. You should see something similar to the following

To run y-bot bot in console mode, use the following commands

        cd scripts\xnix
        y-bot.cmd```

We are not ready to run y-bot in console mode for the first time

Console Client

Change to scripts/windows folder and run programy from the command file y-bot.cmd
