This revision features a corrected approach to calculate the impact of scattering material in the particle path. The Highland formula of PDG is to be evaluated only once not for the individual planes and their material budget, but for the whole particle track and all encompassed material.
Then, the contribution of the individual scatterers to the trajectory kinks are calculated using linear weights proportional to the respective material budget.
Hence, the factorial term in Highland containing the material budged is calculated per-plane, while the logarithmic correction features the total material budget of the track in order not to underestimate the total scattering.
