Release testing instructions for the WooCommerce Stripe payment gateway 6.2.0
Note: Ensure account keys are removed before performing this test. They can be removed by going to
WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe
, click on theSettings
tab (at the top), click on theEdit account keys
button, and remove the live/test keys before pressing theSave keys
button.Also, make sure the Stripe payment method is disabled. It can be disabled by going to
WooCommerce > Settings > Payments
and toggle off Stripe.
- As a merchant, go to
WooCommerce > Home > Set up payments
, using the HTTPS protocol (e.g.https://website.com/wp-admin
). - In the
Additional payment gateways
section, clickFinish setup
for Stripe. - Click the
Connect
button. - Select an existing Stripe account or create a new account to connect.
- Ensure Stripe is enabled by going to
WooCommerce > Settings > Payments
and ensuring the Stripe toggle is on. - Ensure the Stripe live account keys were saved by going to
WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe
, clicking theSettings
tab (at the top), and clicking theEdit account keys
button in theGeneral
section.
