- RHEL 8: changed default diskfull partitioning from ext4 to xfs
- RHEL 8: updated xcatsnap to search for files for collection from additional locations
- SLES 12: changed default diskfull partitioning from btrfs to xfs for ppc64le
- getinstdisk now supports OS install on nvme disks

xCAT started out as a project in IBM developed by Egan Ford. It was quickly adopted by customers and IBM manufacturing sites to rapidly deploy clusters.
