You will not fear anymore. You will become the fear itself.

Pearl of the Void

Obtaining

It can be very rarely found in chests generated within End Cities.

Effects

While worn in Spellstone slot, it will give the bearer immunity to hunger, suffocation and drowning, and 15% chance that they won't be killed by lethal damage. The attacks of the bearer will inflict strong Withering effect on it's victims, any damaging debuffs will heal them instead of harming, and any living creatures in their proximity, if they are in darkness, will constantly receive heavy damage and debuffs.

Trivia

Immunity to hunger means, that player will always have full hunger bar. If any attempts to decrease it artificially are made (like from Hunger effect), it will be instantly refilled back to 20 points next tick. However, player's saturation will always be at zero, disallowing them to quickly regenerate their health from consuming food, even if it can be eaten at full hunger.

Since any damage from debuffs is converted into healing, there's a point in brewing and drinking Poison potions instead or alongside Regeneration, since it will heal the player quicker and last longer.

The exact conditions for triggering damaging effect is as following:

  • Entity must be within 16 blocks radius from bearer of the pearl;
  • Light at the entity's position must be below level 3;

Obviously, the list excludes bearer of the pearl. Any entity that suffices this conditions will receive 4 points of Darkness Damage every 10 ticks, or 0.5 seconds, and will also have variety of powerful debuffs applied to them. If entity is a bearer of another pearl, then it will receive no damage and only Withering effect will be applied to it, that will actually heal it.

When death is prevented by the pearl, player will not die and will have their HP set to 1. Because of low chance, any next hit will most likely kill them, unless they manage to restore some health.
