Scroll of Postmortal Recall
There is a special advancement for dying while having it equipped in a hardcore world. I am sure.
It can be created in a Crafting Table, via shaped recipe:
When equpped in the Arcane Scroll slot, it will return the bearer to their respawn point within the current world in an instant of their death. The scroll itself will be dropped at the initial position of death.
Definition "Center of The World" means the default spawn point in the current dimension. Notice, that since it's impossible to sleep in The End or the Nether, if you die in these dimensions you will always be returned to their center. Usually they have the same coordinates as respective point in the Overworld, so you might end up being teleported into blocks or lava in Nether, or right above the Void in The End - it is recommended to ensure that those points are safe before using the scroll.
Scroll of Postmortal Recall, in fact, teleports the player right before the instant of their death, but after ensuring that death is not cancelled (for instance, by using Totem of Undying) - therefore, all the items and experience they'll drop will remain at their respawn location. The only item they will loose is the scroll itself, and since it is difficult enough to create one, you will likely want to go to the location of your death and retreive it in case it remains intact.

It also will not despawn, remaining at it's location unless picked up or destroyed.
