• Merged metadata sync queue PR, created follow-up to make syncs continuous -- that's ready once sync icon PR lands

• Review John's file management PR (gets rid of hard links)

  • Added tests so PR #740 (replybox focus after sync) is ready for review, but will probably need work to make work properly.
  • Rebased #688.
  • Spent most of the day working on PR #733 which addresses the unresponsive UI issue. The PR is still very much a "spike" but UI is always responsive with 200 sources. Please see my commentary on that PR.
