Guidelines for the Online Community of Practice

The Modeling to Learn Community of Practice helps people to share their knowledge and insights gained from system dynamics and systems thinking. The idea is to connect members of the community to each other to share information and gather valuable emergent tacit knowledge as the result of Modeling to Learn experiments. Because we are a community used by people from different organizations and professions, of all cultures, Team PSD will carefully moderate the content in these forums.  Please help us keep them a safe and welcoming place for all members and abide by these community guidelines.    

  1. Be Responsible:

    • This online public forum is designed to provide accessible help.
    • Providers and other participants must be vigilant to protect information about patients and their care.
    • Please do not share your personal information or reveal private information about other people (like home address, phone number, email address, serial number, or credit card information).
  2. Be Respectful: Language or media that offends, threatens, or insults an individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, serious disease or disability, caste, gender, age, or sexual orientation is not welcome here. If you ever experience a user violating these guidelines Community Guidelines, you can make a report to the community moderators. 

    • Create a new issue in GitHub and select “Abuse Report” from the issue template selection.
    • Fill out the form as prompted in the Abuse Report template. We are a diverse and global community and we aim to be inclusive.
    • Additionally, we do not allow content that contains the following:
      a. Nudity or pornographic material
      b. Vulgar language like profanity or hate speech
      c. Harassment, threats or graphic violence
      d. Illegal activities or goods
      e. Self-harm or promotion of self-harm
      f. Promotion of terrorism or violent extremism
      g. Spam or advertisements
  3. Be Yourself: CP promotes and encourages creative expression and a learning environment.

    • Keep your posts, comments, private messages, and other communications on-topic, constructive, and encouraging.
    • Only upload your own work or content that you have permission to use or if presenting academic work, please provide relevant citations of work that is not your own.
    • We will disable accounts that engage in deceptive or harmful behaviors, including:
      a. Impersonating other people or entities
      b. Falsely attributing someone else’s work
