Bestiary
The Bestiary is a monster reference list inside the 5e-Framework. It contains all the creatures found in the 5th Edition SRD for the world's most popular Role-playing game. The Bestiary will allow you to access a monsters statistics, also known as its statblock, providing you with the information needed to run that monster. The monster list is made up of a cavalcade of classic fantasy creatures, including Dragons, Mimics, Golems and more! Essentially, the Bestiary is the equivalent to the Monsters section in the Roll20 D&D 5th Edition Compendium. Or it's like having the complete SRD monster list at your fingertips.
The 5e-Framework Compendium is fully-featured and includes all you need to start running your own fantasy adventures. Use the Compendium to find bestiary entries and spawn monster tokens from the Bestiary into your maps. You can also import monster entries from DND Beyond into 5e-Framework to breathe new flavor into your campaign!
(Starting with 5e-Framework v2.5.3, you can now import monsters from DND Beyond into your Bestiary.)
When you click on Bestiary in the Compendium, a separate Bestiary window will appear. You'll notice three options in the Bestiary window.
Creature Name - This opens the creatures statblock window - which itself includes additional options. This statblock window is different from a Selected token's statblock macro window.
Make Token - This spawns the selected monster on the map.
Build Table - This updates your Bestiary and displays new monster entries in the Bestiary (after those new monster entries have been imported).

By default, all tokens in the Bestiary have generic tokens. Let's go over how to assign specific tokens to specific entries. In this example, I'm going assign a vampire token to the Vampire in the bestiary. If you'd like to follow along need a token
Step 1. Open your Bestiary and click Make Token. A semi-transparent token will spawn on your map.
Step 2. Double-click on the token and press the green + where the token art is.
Step 3. Assign a token and press OK.
Step 4. Select Statblock at the top of the screen. Notice that the old token art next to Statblock hasn't changed. That's ok.
Step 5. Click Settings.
Step 6. Click Token, select the new token and press Ok

To import monsters, you'll need to copy and paste the statblock found on DND Beyond. 5e Framework v2.5.3. can import monsters to the Bestiary using the Lib:DDB Importer token. For this tutorial, we'll import a Yeti since it's not in the Bestiary. The Yeti statblock will be provided below but can also be found here.
Step 1: In the 00.DM map, click on Lib:DDB Importer token - it's the red B.
Step 2: In the Selected window, click Import.
Step 3: Select whether it's a monster or a spell, add a source book abbreviation then copy and paste the statblock into the large text field.

Fear of Fire. If the yeti takes fire damage, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.
Keen Smell. The yeti has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Snow Camouflage. The yeti has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in snowy terrain.
Actions
Multiattack. The yeti can use its Chilling Gaze and makes two claw attacks.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) slashing damage plus 3 (1d6) cold damage.
Chilling Gaze. The yeti targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. If the target can see the yeti, the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw against this magic or take 10 (3d6) cold damage and then be paralyzed for 1 minute, unless it is immune to cold damage. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If the target’s saving throw is successful, or if the effect ends on it, the target is immune to the Chilling Gaze of all yetis (but not abominable yetis) for 1 hour.
Step 4: Click Save.
Step 5: Press OK to confirm the name.
Step 6: Close the "Import from D&D Beyond" window.
Step 7: Open up the Bestiary.
Step 8: Click Build Table located on the top left of the bestiary window.
After a short load, the new monster should now be in the bestiary. Table must be built in order for the new monster(s) to display in the Bestiary. Don't forget to click the "Build Table" to update the bestiary table!
