BIC
BIC Subject Codes are being phased out in favor of Thema, having reached their end of life in February 2024 (Source).
Prominent platforms such as OAPEN who have formerly relied on BIC subject classifications have now converted their dataset to Thema.
The Subject Code list is managed (though no longer updated) by Editeur. BIC-to-Thema conversion procedure outlines are also provided by EDItEUR at https://www.editeur.org/151/Thema/#Code_lists
The Thoth Wiki has been developed in the context of the COPIM (Community-led Open Publication Infrastructures for Monographs) project.
