Character Creation
There are 3 methods for creating new Player Characters, using the Character Creation Wizard, using the Compendium or changing the character sheet manually. The first two methods require races, backgrounds, feats and classes to be manually included or imported. By default, the ones included on the SRD are already included.
To use the wizard, make a new PC token by clicking on New Character on the Compendium and checking the "Launch setup wizard" on the input window or dragging and dropping a token from your computer and clicking New PC and then 1st Level on the player menu.
This will open the Wizard window, from there, read the instructions, select any choice offered and click Next to go to the next step, or Skip to ignore that step and make changes later.
Each step applies the changes when you click Next so the Back option may lead to unintended changes, like extra levels, features, skills... Use with caution.
If the framework doesn't include certain races and backgrounds, you can select Custom Race or Custom Background the framework will display common options for races and backgrounds, such as attribute improvements, languages, size, speed and sight for races, and skill, tool and language proficiency, gold and equipment for backgrounds. Then, remaining changes can be manually added or changed later.
To use the compendium to create a character, make a new PC token by clicking on New Character on the Compendium and leaving the "Launch setup wizard" unchecked on the input window or dragging and dropping a token from your computer and clicking New PC.
Then, from the compendium, open the chosen Race, Background and Class and click the Move link and select your token to add each feature.
You will then have to change the Class & Level manually, by clicking on Class & Level and entering the required fields, if a class doesn't have a spellcasting attribute or an archetype at that level, you can leave those fields blank. Then, change all the other fields manually.
You can open the Weapons, Armor, Tools and Adventuring Gear and click Move to add equipment, and open spell lists from each class and click Add to add spells.
Finally, you can open the Feats List window and Other Options to add any remaining features.
The GM can create new races, backgrounds, feats, classes and subclasses on the Settings Window.
