  1. Review of the actions defined during the previous meeting

Actions:

  • Vincent will push the rfc to tango-controls GitHub organization

https://github.com/tango-controls/rfc is now the official github repository for this project.

  • Piotr will send emails (see point 4.)
  • Piotr will setup a slack channel (see 5.)

tango-rfc slack channel has been created on https://tango-controls.slack.com. Feel free to use it to ask questions and to coordinate contributions.

  1. Status of the existing RFC list
  • https://github.com/tango-controls/rfc has already several forks.
  • Vincent Hardion started to work on the command RFC.
  • Several editors already volunteered:
    • Gwenaelle Abeillé
    • Vincent Hardion
    • Lorenzo Pivetta
    • Guifré Cuni/Sergi Blanch-Torné
    • ESRF (editor not yet defined but will provide at least 1 editor)
  • Vincent Hardion can provide some help on the process
  1. Responsible editors list:
RFC Editor Contributors
RFC-3 (The command model) Sergi Blanch-Torné Vincent Hardion, Graziano Scalamera, ESRF(?), ...
RFC-5 (The property model) Gwenaelle Abeillé Vincent Hardion, Reynald Bourtembourg, ...
  1. AoB
  • Action: Sergi Blanch-Torné will update the "How to contribute" section to give more details on the process to contribute on an RFC. This process will be tested with the command RFC and it might evolve in the future. The How to contribute section of the wiki will evolve at the same time as we adapt this process.
  • Action: Vincent Hardion will contact Gwenaelle Abeillé to ask her to be the editor for the property RFC (RFC-5).
  • It was agreed to start the next meetings at 10 am CEST instead of 9 am CEST.
  • The calls for the RFC meeting are done via the Tango kernel mailing list. Please contact Reynald Bourtembourg (ESRF) if you want to be added to the Tango kernel mailing list. A message should be sent on the tango-rfc slack channel too to remind the potential participants about the meeting.
  • Action: There is a need to advertise the tango-rfc project on the tango-controls.org website (forum or news item) to inform the Tango users and attract potential contributors.
  1. Next meeting
    • The next meeting (11.07.2019) at 10 am CEST will be called by Piotr
