Notes

Slurm cluster in Azure (created with Magic Castle)
- mainly to build software for AMD Genoa
- custom node image now in place for x86_64 nodes
  - must be done outside of a gallery, or Terraform could not find the image
- still TODO for aarch64 nodes (less urgent for now)
  - can't seem to create image outside of a gallery, unclear why...
- up and running now, but still some teething problems
  - installation of GCC from source fails due to memory limit?!
update on current status of budget for EESSI
- ~15k Euro spent in April 2023-2024
ISC'24
- theatre session / demos at Azure booth
  - booth is partially funded by AMD
  - mention AMD GPU support in EESSI roadmap (via MultiXscale)
  - demo slots are several hours (full morning/afternoon)
- attendance from EESSI: Kenneth + Lara + Eli & co (HPCNow!)
- EESSI BoF session on Tue morning
- EESSI talks at 3 workshops (Thursday)
- demos via SURF Research Cloud? => via Martin
