Maintenance

For a Xyna Factory instance in operation, a steady availability of sufficient system resources should be ensured. In detail this refers to:

  • enough main memory (the CLI command listsysteminfo shows memory information)
  • enough disk space
  • reachability of connected systems like data bases
  • enough resources on external systems like data bases
Please note: The necessary system resources strictly depend on the scope of application (count and size of Workflows, Data Types, etc.) and the configuration of the Xyna Factory.

Therefore it has to be checked (especially if the operational situation changes) if all configuration settings are appropriate:

  • Check the logging settings (growing log files may lead to disk space problems)
  • Check the monitoring settings
  • Check the Persistence Layer configuration
The monitoring and release of allocated resources (disc space, databases, etc.), especially in respect to the usage of data tables (like e.g. management of finished Xyna Orders in Order Archive) can be accomplished by managing the persistence, e.g. periodic removal or copying of contents.
