Workspace
Figure 1: Choosing a Workspace during login Figure 2: Switch to another Workspace
A Workspace is a Runtime Context which is used at development time to create, model and test new XMOM Objects. Later these Workspaces are used to build Applications by defining an Application Definition.
A user have to choose a certain Workspace during the login phase of the Xyna Modeller (cf. fig. 1). The current Workspace can be switched at the top right in the Xyna Modeller (cf. fig. 2).
A Workspace can be enabled with SVN Access for a tighter integration with an Integrated development environment (IDE) like Eclipse and to provide a SVN-based backup mechanism for modeling changes.
The following list contains all possible actions with Workspaces:
- Create a new Workspace
- Develop new XMOM Objects with the Xyna Process Modeller inside the current Workspace
- Test Workflows with the Workflow Launcher
- Remove all objects inside a Workspace
- Remove a Workspace
- Load the content of an Application into a Workspace and create a fitting Application Definition
- Set required Runtime Contexts
- Create new Application Definitions as part of a Workspace
- Remove Application Defintions from a Workspace
- Monitor problems inside a Workspace
- Build a new Application from a Workspace's Application Definition
Creation and management of Workspaces and Application Definitions can be done inside the Workspaces section of the Xyna Factory Manager or via CLI.
