Like Capacities a Veto is a concurrency control mechanism enforced by the Scheduler. A Xyna Order may request to allocate a Veto in the Planning phase of the Master Workflow. If the Veto (an arbitrary string value) is already allocated, the Order may not be scheduled.

Vetoes can only be requested by Orders through a custom Planning Workflow. In addition, they can be administratively allocated in the Administrative Vetoes section in the Xyna Factory Manager by an user to block all Orders using it.

Example

An Order requests the Veto MAC:01ca256d990e to ensure that no other Order is working on the same device.

Monitoring

The utilization of Capacities and Vetoes can be monitored in the Capacity Monitor section of the Xyna Process Monitor.
