Modeling Ambiguity

Figure 1: Parameter with unsolved ambiguity Figure 2: Parameter with solved ambiguity A modeling ambiguity occurs during the modeling of a Workflow, whenever there is more than one possible source Parameter available to connect to an Input Parameter of a Modeling Block. This is a common situation, which causes the parameter to be marked by a yellow dot and an issue to be displayed in the icon bar .

Resolve an Ambiguity

To resolve an ambiguity, select the Parameter with the ambiguity to display all possible connections (cf. fig. 1). Click on the desired connection and press the shown add button to connect the Parameter with the source Parameter the connection line is pointing to. To revise the decision, select the Parameter, the connection line and then press the remove button (cf. fig. 2).
